Lancer baseball team loses to Paulding
The Lincolnview Lancer baseball team couldn’t get those bats cracking in an 8-1 loss to Paulding in Northwest Conference play on Thursday.
Both teams were scoreless until the third inning, when the Panthers scored two runs to lead 2-0 and then added a pair of runs in the fourth to take a 4-0 nothing advantage. Lincolnview scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth, but Paulding added three insurance runs in the sixth and another in the seventh to ice the win.
Clayton Longstreth (3-7) was the losing pitcher for the Lancers, while Derreck Pease (7-3) got the win for Paulding.
Lincolnview is now 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the NWC.
