Dennis A. Wheeler

Dennis A. Wheeler, 66, of Mendon, died at 10:27 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 23, 1948, in Van Wert, the son of Fredric and Ilene (Crow) Wheeler, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include two children, Kerry (Jim) Hunter and Barry Wheeler, both of Celina; a stepson, Terry (Darla) Seibert of Mendon; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Janet (Steve) Mack of Van Wert, Ila (Rick) Rumple of Decatur, Indiana, and Jeff Wheeler of Middlebury.

A stepgranddaughter, Shirissa Seibert, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, at First Church of God in Mendon, with Pastor Dean Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, at the church, 102 N. Wayne St. in Mendon.

Preferred memorials: To the church.

Arrangements were handled by Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
