Cougar boys lose golf match to Celina

The Van Wert Cougar golf team hosted the Celina Bulldogs for the last home match of the season, with the Bulldogs walking away with a 194-210 victory.

Cougar Jared Hernandez was match medalist with a 40, followed by teammate Colton Deschner, who was runner-up medalist with a 42.

Carter Eikenbary carded a 56 and Nathan Bidlack rounded out the scoring with a 72. Jacob Covey was sidelined for senior night with an injury to his back.

The Cougars return to action at Defiance on Thursday.
