Margaret A. Wyandt
Margaret A. Wyandt, 96, of Van Wert, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born June 9, 1919, in Cleveland, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Neidenbach) Klein, who both preceded her in death. On August 31, 1946, she married Gerald V. Wyandt, who died November 10, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Beth (Randy) Stemen and Jeri Wyandt, both of Van Wert; a stepson, Fred (Josephine) Wyandt of Carson City, Nevada; grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Margaret was a graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland. She retired from the Van Wert City Schools, where she was employed as a secretary/librarian. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of Van Wert County Hospital’s Twig II group, served on the board of directors of the Van Wert County Council on Aging, was a former United Way volunteer, a YWCA board member and a Campfire leader. During World War II, she was a USO volunteer at the former Crile Army Hospital in Parma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Stan Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 3-7 p.m. Monday, September 14, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.
