Airport gets grant
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced that Van Wert County Regional Airport (above) has been awarded $109,350 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the design phase of a south general aviation apron for aircraft parking and a taxiway to connect the apron to the airfield. “These improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses,” Brown said.
