Dorothy Louise O’Daffer

Dorothy Louise O’Daffer, 93, of Middle Point, died at 5:36 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born on November 2, 1921, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Otto and Bessie Mae (Cattell) Hoverman, who both preceded her in death. On March 23, 1941, she married Carl Dewayne O’Daffer, who died January 30, 1994.

Family survivors include three sons, Orley D. (Mary) O’Daffer of Van Wert, Albert L. (Trudy) O’Daffer of Middle Point, and Rick L. (Doreen) O’Daffer of Columbus; two daughters, Jean A. O’Daffer and Tammy Barr, both of Middle Point; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Sherry Friedrich of Middle Point.

Two children, Robert Eugene O’Daffer and Carolyn L. Hamm; and two brothers, Doyt R. Hoverman and Lawrence E. Hoverman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 25, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Thursday, September 24, at the funeral home.
