Bowersock VWHS parade grand marshal

VWHS Homecoming information

Former YMCA executive director Larry Bowersock is the grand marshal for the Van Wert High School Homecoming Parade, to be held this Wednesday on Jefferson Street.

The parade will begin at the corner of Sycamore and Jefferson streets and then travel south on Jefferson Street to Fountain Park. A pep rally will follow at Fountain Park after the parade, and the night will conclude with the annual Powder Puff football game at Eggerss Stadium.

Bowersock was chosen grand marshal for his years of work at the YMCA. Many outstanding student athletes got their start at the Y, and many people in the community would know Bowersock from his time there. 

Bowersock also played football for the Cougars from 1954-1958.
