Cougar v-ball team loses to Lima Bath

The Van Wert varsity volleyball team lost to Bath in three sets: 22-25, 18-25, 20-25.

For Van Wert, Landrie Koontz was 13/14 and Emma Kohn contributed two aces in serving. Megan Spray was 65/66 setting, with eight assists, while Kohn led the Cougars with 12 kills and Peyton Fleming added six in hitting. Ella Butler had seven blocks.

Van Wert moves to 5-13 on the season and 2-4 in the Western Buckeye League. The Lady Cougars will next play Celina away.

Van Wert’s junior varsity volleyball team defeated Bath in two sets, 25-23, 25-20.

The JVs’ record now stands at 13-5 on the season.
