Crowds good at Apple Fest

The Van Wert Apple Festival got underway on Friday morning, with good crowds (above), great food, lots of crafts and related items and a full lineup of entertainment. Of course, apples are one of the prime commodities sold at the Apple Festival, with a variety of food items containing apples available, including cider, apple dumplings, and apple pies. A number of handmade craft items (below), some apple-themed, are also sold during the festival, when ends today at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. (photos by Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
