Last Friday Crestview held the annual Halloween dress-up day, and held a contest for those wearing costumes. Categories were creepiest, cutest, most original, and best group. The results were – creepiest — Skyla Menke, cutest — Payton Schaadt, most original — Drew Kline, and best group — Jada Preston, Brady Guest, Travis Liechtensteiner, and Haley Helm. Students also carried their Halloween costumes to the senior night home football game against Paulding.
The home football game against Paulding was a success. The Knights won 42-20 and proceeded to take a spot in the playoffs. Tomorrow the Knights will play game one of the playoffs against McComb High School. “Our team has worked very hard all year for this,” said freshman Drew Kline. “The upperclassmen deserve this. They have helped me all year to get to where I am today.”
Crestview will be hosting a service day and assembly for Veterans Day. This will take place on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to recognize all who have served and the men and women still serving today. The Knights are welcoming any veteran and anyone who is still in the armed forces to attend. They will be recognizing each individual veteran at the assembly, and they will hold a cookies and punch reception in the auditorium afterward.
