Donald G. Donley

Donald G. Donley, 87, of Van Wert, died at 2:47 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born June 10, 1928, in Delslow, West Virginia, the son of Charles and Beryl (Haines) Donley, who both preceded him in death. He married Marilyn (Tobias) Donley, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include seven children, Dawn Laskosky of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Ron (Betty) Donley of Morgantown, West Virginia, Cindy (Jerry) Novak of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, Nina (Ted) Rife of Maidsville, West Virginia, Charles (Gloria) Donley of Greensboro, Pennsylvania, John (Robin) Donley of Bobtown, Pennsylvania, and James (Kim) Donley of Point Marion, Pennsylvania; a stepdaughter, Rebecca (Dean) Good of Van Wert; one brother, James (Sally) Donley of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A stepson, Randall Tobias; and one brother, Charles Donley, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. David Ray officiating.

Calling hours are from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Jennings Road Church of Christ, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or a charity of donor’s choice.
