Twig III holds 2015 Tree of Lights event

Van Wert County Hospital’s TWIG III volunteers lit up the tree in front of the hospital’s main entrance for the 22nd year on Monday.  The Tree of Lights service was filled with reflection and music, offering a wonderful way to honor and remember loved ones this holiday season.

The tree displays sparkling lights and special star ornaments that were purchased in memory of loved ones. This year, 40 people gathered to hang star ornaments to honor and remember family members and friends or in support of the hospital.

Jacob Wilder provided music as the lights were turned on and the ornaments were hung. Pastor William Haggis II gave the invocation.

The annual Tree of Lights ceremony is a TWIG III fundraiser and approximately $2,100 was raised from the event. At the end of the evening’s program, TWIG III President Lisa Dunn presented the donation to Mark Minick, CEO and president of Van Wert County Hospital.
