In addition to the non-conference victory, Crestview’s Emily Bauer became the sixth player in Lady Knights’ history — and the second Knight (along with Connor Lautzenheiser) in a week — to join the 1,000-point club.

Bauer led the Knights in scoring with 22 points, while sophomores Lyvia Black and Paige Motycka added 14 and 13 points, respectively. Claire Zaleski was also in double figures with 10 points.

Kylie Jettinghoff led Fort Jennings with 9 points.

Crestview took a five-point lead, 20-15, in the first quarter and then blew the game wide open in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Musketeers 23-8 to take a 20-point lead, 43-23, at the half. The Lady Knights also outscored Fort Jennings in the third quarter, 10-3, to increase their lead to 27 points, but the Lady Musketeers rallied in the final stanza against Crestview’s reserves to cut that final lead to 24 points.

The Knights were 27 of 55 from the field (49 percent), including 5 of 9 (55 percent) from three-point range. Crestview was 6 of 7 (85 percent) from the free-throw line.

Fort Jennings was held to 14 of 39 shooting from the field (35 percent), including 2 of 7 from beyond the arc (28 percent). The Muskies were 11 of 14 (78 percent) from the charity stripe.

The Knights also outrebounded Fort Jennings, 21-13, while committing one more turnover (9-10) than the Musketeers.

Crestview travels to Kalida Saturday at 1 p.m. to take on the Lady Wildcats.
