Totes of Love
The YWCA of Van Wert recently received a donation of 75 handbags and totes collected by Leland Smith during the agency’s Totes of Love campaign. The totes were filled with much needed supplies also donated by community members during the tote drive. Leland Smith employees recently presented Jamie Evans, YWCA housing director, with the totes and supplies. Each resident presently in the program will receive a tote and supplies and the remaining totes will be gifted to residents as they enter into one of the YWCA’s programs. The YWCA serves homeless women, children and families, victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. YWCA officials thanked Leland Smith and community members for their generous donations to Totes of Love. Shown are (from the left) Evans, Krista Schlemmer, Alexandra Czajkowski, and Brooke Meyer. The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency. (YWCA photo)
