Crestview girls down Hicksville Aces

CONVOY — The Crestview Lady Knights moved to 5-3 on the season by defeating Hicksville 58-37.  Crestview used a 37-12 second half to put away the Lady Aces.

Emily Bauer led the Crestview offensive attack with 19 points and Brady Guest added 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Lady Knights led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter and were up by six, 21-15, at the half.

Neither team shot well from the field, with Crestview making 19 of 53 field goal attempts (35 percent), and the Aces knocking down 9 of 32 from the field (28 percent). The Knights were 3 of 18 from three-point range (16 percent), while Hicksville made 2 of 5 three-point attempts (40 percent).

The Lady Aces were 7 of 10 from the free throw line (70 percent), while Crestview made 17 of 27 free throw attempts (62 percent).

The Lady Knights outrebounded Hicksville, 27-16, and also had fewer turnovers, 11-16.
