The Girls Scouts of Van Wert County recently celebrated Earth Day with a trip to Camp Myeerah in Bellefontaine, with more than 60 girls from the Van Wert area attending the fun-filled day. The girls enjoyed themselves while also learning about the environment, participating in fun activities such as recycling materials to make kazoos, doing trivia games, and crafts. There was information presented on geo-caching and the history of Earth Day. The girls also learned that a little rain is not enough to dampen the fun.
