Donald Jene Moore

Donald Jene “Gray Fox” Moore, 82, of Delphos, died at 1:12 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016.

He was born December 24, 1933, the son of Calvin and Ida (Stahl) Moore, who both preceded him in death. On October 18, 1952, he married the former Norma Prine, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include seven children, Rick (Elaine) Moore, Judy (Gary) Mack, Bonnie (Danny) Osting, all of Delphos, Randy Moore, Jamie (Cristal) Moore of Grover Hill, Donald Jay (Ellen) Moore of Ottoville, and Steve (Lesley) Moore of Middle Point; a sister, Judy Moore of Grover Hill; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two half-brothers, Richard and Mike Moore.

His stepfather, George Moore, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, at Delphos Christian Church, with Pastors Gary Fish, Terry Porter, and Glen Prine officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 24, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, and from noon to the time of services Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Delphos Christian Union Church or Dayton Veterans Association.
