Pugh named 2011 County Dairy Princess

The annual Van Wert County Dairy Service Banquet was held April 9 at the fairgrounds. 2010 Dairy Princess Jocé Fokker, daughter of Jan and Gina Fokker, crowned 2011 Dairy Princes Morgan Pugh.

Morgan represents the third generation of the Pugh Family working with Jersey and Ayrshire cows in rural Venedocia on the Homestead dairy farm. She is the daughter of Robert and Denise Pugh and granddaughter of Hugh and Evelyn Pugh.

The entertainment of the evening was John E. Vinning, who spoke about the struggles between the Indians and the Europeans in the area between the Mississippi River and the Appalachian Mountains between 1790 and 1818.
