Q & A, lost & found photo equipment, and more

By Rex Dolby

The Van Wert Area Photography Club’s next regularly scheduled meeting is Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. at 114 S. Race St.  Suspecting that there might be additional community members who have questions about their cameras or photography in general, or those who attended last month’s Q & A session may have more questions, the club will again offer those folks the opportunity to receive answers to their questions.  The session is free and there is no obligation to join.  Our meeting place is right next to the Van Wert Civic Theatre, which owns the building and graciously allows us to meet there.

Members are reminded that it is time to remit their $25 annual dues plus an additional $5 for each additional family member, up to a maximum of $40 to Treasurer Mike Taylor.

Did anyone you know mention not being able to find some of his or her photography equipment after shooting at the Van Wert reservoir?   Stuart Jewett wrote Feb. 5 on the Van Wert Area Photography Club’s Facebook page, “Anybody who has been shooting photos around the reservoirs lately listen up. Someone lost a couple items from their camera bag.   If anyone contacts me (Leave a comment for his post) and tells me what the items in question are, and that they are yours, I will make you very happy.” We hope someone can make a connection and the items get returned to their rightful owner.

Spring is coming. I’ve heard two reports of robin sightings and our daffodils are over an inch above the ground.
