The Foods class taught by Ali Sawmiller had the kindergarten class come celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday on March 2. They made green eggs and ham and read the famous book Green Eggs and Ham. The high school students have worked on studying the behavior of kindergarteners along with preparing the food for the activity. “This is a fun opportunity for both the kindergarteners and the foods classes to work together,” said Sawmiller.

Knight Vision has started practicing for Dinner Theater. Dinner Theater is on March 18 and March 19 and will be held in the auditeria. “I’m very excited for Dinner Theater to see the audience’s reaction to our performance and their delicious food,” said Lauren Brecht. Dinner Theater consists of Knight Vision playing various songs for their family and friends while they enjoy a meal from Bright Eyes Catering.

Spring sports have started practicing for their seasons. This includes baseball, softball, and track. The baseball team has been getting up extremely early the last two weeks for practice. They have practice before school, in the morning at 6 a.m. until around 7:40 a.m. Track also started their first practice on Monday. Tommi Anderson said, “I’ve been working very hard since November to hopefully have a great track season!” Monday also consisted of soccer having their first meeting for their season which starts in the fall.

The junior class and the prom committees have been working very hard preparing decorations and invitations for the seniors’ last dance. They have been meeting during Knight Times and study halls for preparation. Joel Germann, a junior on the promenade committee, said, “Right now we are planning on how to make promenade the best it can be for the seniors this year.”
