Easter Egg, Easter Bone hunts scheduled
VW independent/submitted information
The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled its annual Easter Egg Hunt for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Smiley Park ballfields.
Kids ages 10 and under will be divided into four age groups. Children should bring a basket or bag to collect eggs, and parents/guardians will want to bring a camera (the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance).

For more information on the Parks Department Easter Egg Hunt, contact the Jubilee Park Office at 419.238.9121.
Another popular event, the Easter Bone Hunt, will be held immediately following the Easter Egg Hunt at approximately 11 a.m.
This event is for dogs and their owners to enjoy a hunt for dog-treat-filled eggs. All pets must be on a leash. The event is divided into two “waves.” The first wave will be for dogs weighing 40 pounds and under; the second wave will be for dogs that weigh more than 40 pounds.
Donations will be accepted at the Easter Bone Hunt to benefit the Van Wert County Humane Society. For more information, contact Coordinator Sarah Robeson at 419.605.7612.
Both events are free to the public.
