Vicki S. (Charleston) Jackson

Vicki S. (Charleston) Jackson, 58, of Bluffton, Indiana, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Tuesday, June 4, 1957, in Decatur, Indiana. She married Monte Jackson Thursday, April 20, 2000, in Montpelier, and he survives in Bluffton.

Vicki was a 1975 graduate of Van Wert High School. She then went on to graduate with an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan. After graduation, she worked with Dr. Roger Okuley and helped him set up his practice in Van Wert. Vicki had worked for Peyton’s Northern in Bluffton for 30 years.

She had spent her life as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, friend, and grandma. Her family was her pride and joy and she supported them fully. She loved her spring flowers and camping.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Rosemary June (Ross) Charleston of Van Wert; two daughters, Samantha Renae Winans of Albany, Indiana, and Stacy Leigh Winans of Bluffton, Indiana; three grandsons, Jerrid Kershner, Kamryn Ball, and Jasper Ball; and five granddaughters, Ava Rose Elston, Kendallyn McPherson, Ella Elston, Kaia McPherson, and Kinzie Kershner.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Eugene Charleston; maternal grandparents Lee and Beatrice Ross; and paternal grandparents Therman and Doris Charleston.

A service to celebrate Vicki’s life will be conducted at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, with Pastor Greg Wacks officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St. in Montpelier, Indiana.
