Everett has been in the water her entire life. She officially joined the aquatics field when she became a lifeguard more than 10 years ago. As a lifeguard, she quickly realized the importance of children learning how to swim. She later went on to become an American Red Cross certified instructor in both lifeguarding and swimming lessons.

Everett is currently a certified water safety instructor, Y swimming lesson instructor, lifeguard instructor, and a CPR and First Aid instructor. She has just returned from a career as assistant aquatics director at the Delaware YMCA in Ohio and is looking forward working with the YWCA’s aquatics program.

“The YWCA is very excited to have Robin bringing her knowledge, energy and her experience to our Aquatic programs,” said Executive Director Kim Laudick.

The YWCA of Van Wert County is currently accepting registration for classes starting in May. Call for additional information on classes. YWCA hours are 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Fridays.

The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency.
