YM offers summer special memberships

The YMCA of Van Wert County is holding a summer special for adult and college memberships. Starting immediately through June 30, adults can purchase a temporary three-month membership for only $99, with no additional fees.

Full-time college students, between the ages of 18-24, with proof of full-time college student status, can purchase a temporary three-month membership for only $75, or $125, which includes after-hours access with no additional fees.

Participants who decide to purchase a regular membership upon membership expiration may purchase it by Saturday, July 23, and pay no joining fee — a savings worth up to $50.

“We are excited to be able to offer this special for those who would like to start the summer in a healthy manner,” stated Kristin Lichtensteiger, YMCA membership/marketing director. “This also gives people the chance to ‘try the Y’ on a short-term basis to see all the great opportunities and health benefits the Y has to offer.”

The memberships will include full use of Y facilities, lap swims, and participation in all free fitness classes.
