Mary Jean Thomas

Mary Jean Thomas, 55, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2016, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born October 17, 1960, in Celina, the daughter of Oliver Perry and Linda Lou (Ellis) Brandon, who both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her companion, Gary Brehm of Rockford; a daughter, Rachel Leigh (Chris Everett) Sargent of Columbia, South Carolina; one son, Logan Thomas of Celina; three brothers, Olen (Patty) Brandon of St. Marys, Georgia, Jon Brandon of Chattanooga, and Matt (Jessica) Ross of Celina; two sisters, Sharon Sutter of Frostproof, Florida, and Kathy Miracle of Chattanooga; and two grandchildren.

A sister, Kim Schmidt, also preceded her in death.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Preferred memorials may be directed to Gary Brehm and designated to the grandchildren’s education fund.

Arrangements are being handled by Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford.
