Connie Sue Barnes

Connie Sue Barnes, 57, of Van Wert, died at 2:44 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born September 5, 1958, in Van Wert, the daughter of Bruce and Esther (Waldron) Agler, who both preceded her in death. She married Marlan Barnes, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include five children, David (Chrissy Plotts) Barnes of Melrose, Shane (Ammie) Barnes of Convoy, and Brandon Barnes, Kyle Barnes, and Nikki (Chad) Williams, all of Van Wert; two brothers, Dan Agler of Convoy and Steve Agler of Van Wert; and eight grandchildren.

A brother, Larry Agler, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: To the family, for burial expenses.
