Nora Marie (Hirsch) Scott

Nora Marie (Hirsch) Scott passed away at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born August 6, 1926, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Louis J. and Goldie Mae (King) Hirsch, who both preceded her in death. On January 16, 1948, she married Paul V. Scott, who died August 18, 2006.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis L. (Rebecca) Scott of Lima, Douglas P. Scott of Van Wert, and Thomas B. (Eileen) Scott of Dayton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dick (Donna) Hirsch of Fremont; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Tim Owens officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Visitation is from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at the funeral home.
