Debora A. Thatcher

Debora A. Thatcher, 61, of Van Wert, died at 7:57 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born December 25, 1954, in Lima, the daughter of Duane and Elizabeth (Carder) Wolford, who both survive in Van Wert. She married Ben Thatcher, who also survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a daughter, Holli (Tony) Hauter of Van Wert; one brother, Steve Wolford of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Anthony (fiancée Kala East) Hauter, Kiley Wortman, and Katie Hauter.

Debora was employed the past five years at the Van Wert Walmart. She had previously worked at the former Teleflex Corporation for 25 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Scott Campbell officiating.

Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the funeral home.
