Wassenberg sets dates for June Art Show

Wassenberg Art Center in Van Wert has announced that its 55th annual June Art Exhibit will be on display from June 5-25, from 1-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.  Admission is free. Van Wert Federal Savings Bank sponsors the exhibit.

The juried exhibit, open to artists age 18 and older, will feature original paintings, drawings, hand-pulled prints, collage, sculpture, mixed media, pottery, ceramics, glass, jewelry, metalwork and much more.

The opening reception will be held a few days after the show opening and the show will open to the public on June 5.

To celebrate both the show’s 55th year and the 50th anniversary of the Main Gallery addition, the art center will hold an opening reception and cookout on Saturday, June 11, from 5-9 p.m.  Awards will be presented to artists at 7 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.
