YWCA, Olympic Lanes plan DV fundraiser

Join Olympics Lanes and the YWCA of Van Wert for the first Purple Light Nights Cosmic Bowling event. The event is an early kick-off to the YWCA’s annual Purple Light Nights campaign, which is held each year throughout the month of October in an effort to bring awareness to the community regarding domestic violence. A portion of the bowling proceeds will benefit the YWCA Housing Programs.

The event will be held Saturday August 27, from 3-11 p.m. at Olympic Lanes. Those wanting to participate should contact Olympic Lanes at 419.238.2695 to reserve lanes or for more information on the event.

Bowlers will also receive a free fountain drink when they bring a donated item for the housing program to the event. Items needed are laundry soap, floor cleaner, dishwashing liquid, toilet bowl cleaner, hand soap, and all-purpose cleaner.
