Convoy announces 4th planning meeting
CONVOY — Convoy village officials have announced that the fourth planning meeting will be held for all village residents at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Edgewood Park Building, 643 N. Main St.
Grant writer Ron Putoff will also attend the meeting, which will be for the purpose of identifying specific projects to submit for funding, as a result of the survey conducted in connection with the grant application through the state’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Revitalization Program.
The primary purpose of the meeting, the fourth of five required as part of the grant process, is to involve village residents in the planning for some future needs of the village.
Having a large number of village residents sign in will help with the grant scoring, showing the grant review board that village residents are willing participate in planning for the future.
Convoy residents’ presence at the meetings will help the village in the application process, with the possibility of being able to do more projects within the village.
