Anna L. Brandt
Anna L. Brandt, 93, of Rockford, and formerly of Willshire, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born November 2, 1922, in rural Rockford, the daughter of Otto and Eda (Kable) Fahncke, who both preceded her in death. On November 26, 1942, she married Herber Wilson Brandt, who died November 21, 2014.
Survivors include three sons, Edgar (Bev) Brandt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Alan (Kay) Brandt of Rockford, and Cary (Kim) Brandt of Willshire; two daughters, Janet (Ralph) Huge of Fort Wayne, and Carole (DeWayne) Knipstein of Hoagland, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Martin Fahncke of St. Marys, Marcella Werner of Pennsylvania, and Celesta Howell of Columbus City, Indiana.
A grandchild; three brothers, Kenneth, Richard, and Luther Fahncke; and two sisters, Wanda Fahncke and Lauretta Brooks, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 4, at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, with Pastor Karen Tamorria officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
