YMCA sets swim session registration
Registration for the upcoming summer swim session at the YMCA of Van Wert County will begin Tuesday, May 31-June 7 for Y members and June 8-11 for potential members. This will be a three-week, two days per week session, running June 13-30. Registration fees for this special session are $11 for family members, $20 for youth members and $45 for potential members.
“The Y provides the most up-to-date American Red Cross approved swimming and water safety program,” stated Martha Martin, Van Wert YMCA aquatic director. “It keeps a fun atmosphere, while combining the best in swim instruction with an even stronger emphasis on drowning prevention and water safety — ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy the water safely, regardless of age or skill level.”
All YMCA classes are taught by Red Cross Certified Instructors with a total of more than 120 years of combined aquatic instruction experience.
For help placing a child in the appropriate class, contact the Y at 419.238.0443, check out a complete schedule of classes online at www.vwymca.org, or email Martin at martha@vwymca.org.
