Doris Jean Crum

Doris Jean Crum, 77, of Van Wert, died at 2:06 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 20, 1933, in Woodstock, Va., the daughter of the late Fred and Estaline (Funk) Mantz. On May 16, 1952, she married Joseph E. Crum, who survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Joe Crum Jr. of Upton, Ky., Mike Crum of Fairborn and Ed (Judi) Crum and Gary Crum, both of Dayton; two daughters, Cindy (Doug) Stemen of Wapakoneta and Sue (Charles) Wheeler of Elida; two brothers, Fred (Lois) Mantz Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va., and Donnie (Linda) Mantz of Charleston, Va.; two sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Herbaugh of Middletown, Va., and Kitty Jones of Maryland; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Deborah Jean, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the funeral home.
