Knight track athletes headed to regionals

MINSTER — The Crestview boys’ and girls’ track teams each finished in fifth place in the Division III district track meet held at Minster.

Both the boys and girls qualified several athletes for Division III Regional Meet at Troy High School. Those include:

Boys

• Shawn Cloutre, third in the pole vault at 12 feet, 6 inches
• Rob Cook, fourth in the long jump at 19 feet, 5½ inches
• 4×100-meter relay team (Tyler Torrey, Clouatre, Nick Cunningham and Logan Rayer) finished second in a time of 45.80 seconds

Girls

• 4×800-meter relay team (Layne Callow, Janelle May, Erika Frey and Ami Callow) was third in 10:22.13
• Frey was third in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.59 seconds
• 4×200-meter relay team (Grace Callow, Frey, Layne Callow and Ami Callow) was fourth in 1:48.01
• May was third in the 1600-meter run in a time of 5:51.52
• Layne Callow was fourth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.53
• Frey was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 49.23 seconds
• Courtney Perrott set a new school record in finishing second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:24.87
• 4×400-meter relay team (A. Callow, Perrott, Frey and L. Callow) was second in 4:06.32

The regional semifinals for the running events will be held Wednesday afternoon at Troy. Finals for the running events will be on Friday afternoon at Troy.
