Indie filmmaker to speak at VWIFF event

Colorado independent filmmaker Glenn Berggoetz will provide words of wisdom for the latest event to be added to the calendar of the Van Wert Independent Film Festival.

Berggoetz will be the guest speaker at a VWIFF Breakfast to be held at The Pitt Stop on Friday, July 8. He will discuss his current success as an independent filmmaker

who has sold his work for distribution. The breakfast will be free for filmmakers selected to showcase their movies during the film festival. Tickets for the general public to attend the event will go on sale May 6.

Berggoetz is an independent filmmaker who has written, directed, and produced five feature films. His film To Die is Hard has received a U.S. theatrical release, has appeared on Canadian TV, and is scheduled to appear in syndication on U.S. TV in 2012. His most recent film, The Worst Movie EVER!, has been acquired by Quantum Releasing for distribution.

The Van Wert Independent Film Festival will be held July 8-10 at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert, with intentions to become an annual event that will bring tourism dollars to the area from patrons globally.
