Harold E. Stuttler

Harold E. Stuttler, 78, of Delphos, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at his residence.

He was born June 22, 1932, in Lima, the son of the late James Oscar and Bessie (DeWitt) Stuttler. On June 28, 1952, he married Mary (Holten) Stuttler, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include two sons, Charles (Susan) Stuttler of Ferriday, La., and Ronald (Donna) Stuttler of Lima; three daughters, Martha (Uwe) Schachtschneider of Sebring, Fla., and Leona Rogge and Teri (David) Wagner, both of Delphos; a sister, Audree (Walter) Schindledecker of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, OScar and Russell Stuttler; four sisters, Dorothy Renner, Marie Bayman, Alice Hodgson and Dora Dunlap; and a grandson, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Delphos Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Wayne Prater officiating. Burial will be held at a later date, with graveside military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
