Jeanne L. Koch

Jeanne L. Koch, 79, of Van Wert, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Kingston Nursing Home in Miamisburg.

She was born January 20, 1932, in Midland, Mich., the daughter of the late Herman H. and Cora (Somerville) Winkler. She married Kenneth K. Koch in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Mrs. Koch attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert.

Survivors include two stepchildren, Charles (Karen) Koch of Van Wert and Karen (Marshall) Berger of Canton, Conn.; a brother, Thom (Sheila) Winkler of Arlington, Va.; one sister, Marian (Arnice) Dexler of Saginaw, Mich.; three stepgrandchildren, Heather Valentie, Lauren Berger and Justin Berger; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

A stepson, Douglas Koch; one brother, Herman H. Winkler III; and a sister, Ruth Anderson, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating.

Calling hours are from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Equestrian Therapy Program in Lima, Van Wert County Humane Society or the Alzheimer Research Foundation.
