Wassenberg seeking woodworked items

For area residents who do woodworking, or have an interesting handmade wood item in their homes, an upcoming exhibit at the Wassenberg Art Center will let them share it with the community.

The Wassenberg Art Center is planning an exhibit of handmade wood items in July.  The public is invited to submit items for inclusion in the show. Contact the art center as soon as possible to receive an entry form/inventory sheet. There is an entry fee of $2 per item.

Anything hand-made out of wood and/or wood with mixed media will be accepted into this unusual exhibit.  Work must be original — not made from kits. Entry is open to people 18 and older.

Entries will be accepted at Wassenberg Art Center from June 28-30, 1-5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.

Call the Wassenberg Art Center at 419.238.6837 with any questions. Bring a completed entry form and entries to: Wassenberg Art Center, 643 S. Washington St. in Van Wert, by June 30. No late entries accepted.

The exhibit will run from July 4 through August 12.  Sales are encouraged. Wassenberg Art Center will take a 30 percent commission on any sales.

For very large furniture pieces, contact the art center in advance to discuss arrangements for bringing them in.
