Lady Lancers lose to Delphos Jefferson

DELPHOS — The second quarter proved to be costly for Lincolnview, as the Lady Lancers were outscored 17-8 and went on to fall to Delphos Jefferson 61-53 on Thursday night.

The Lady Wildcats led 14-10 after one quarter and 31-18 at halftime. Lincolnview (6-10, 1-4 NWC) outscored Delphos Jefferson 14-10 in the third quarter but trailed 41-32 at the end of the period. The Lady Lancers won the fourth quarter scoring battle 21-20.

Lincolnview was 21 of 62 (33 percent) from the floor, while Delphos Jefferson was 19 of 41 (46 percent). The Lady Lancers were 7 of 11 from the foul line, while the Lady Wildcats went to the charity stripe 31 times, hitting 18.

Olivia Gorman and Maddie Gorman each scored 11 for Lincolnview and Alena Looser scored 10.

The Lady Lancers will host Parkway tomorrow night at 6 p.m.
