Patty A. Heckert

Patty A.  Heckert, 53, of Van Wert, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at James Cancer Center in Columbus.

She was born April 24,1964 in Frederick, Maryland, to Billy Lee Howard and Shirley Marie (Castle) Howard, who both preceded her in death. Patty married Gary L. Heckert, who survives in Van Wert.

Also surviving are three children, Scottie Lee (Helen) Jones of Kendallville, Indiana, Tiffany Yoder of Van Wert, and Angie (JR) Bradley of Nappanee, Indiana; a brother, Billy Lee (Ruth) Howard of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; two sisters, Glenda (Ron) Clark of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Kathi (Ed) Silcott of Bardstown, Kentucky; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 8, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
