Knights race past the Hicksville Aces

HICKSVILLE — Crestview used a big second half to turn what was a close game against Hicksville into a rout.

Leading 34-31 to begin the third quarter, the Knights outscored the Aces 25-13 in the period and 13-7 in the fourth quarter to win 72-51.

Derek Stout scored 10 of his game high 25 points in the third quarter, and Derick Dealey accounted for 11 of his 19 points in the same span. Javin Etzler finished with 16 points (12 in the first half) along with 10 rebounds.

Payton Tunis led Hicksville with 21 points, with 17 of those coming in the first half.

The win extended Crestview’s (13-3) winning streak to 10 while Hicksville’s (15-2) winning streak ended at 11.

The Knights will host Paulding on Friday and will entertain Wayne Trace on Saturday.
