Lincolnview 58 Bluffton 46 (boys)
After weekend losses to Crestview and Delphos St. John’s, Lincolnview got back on the winning track with a 58-46 Northwest Conference victory over Bluffton on Tuesday night.
The Lancers (11-7, 5-1 NWC) jumped out to an 18-9 lead after one quarter, then enjoyed a 33-20 lead at half. Lincolnview led 54-36 after three quarters.
Four Lancers finished in double figures – Zane Miller (15), Chayten Overholt (14), Tristin Miller (12) and Alek Bowersock (11).
Lincolnview will travel to Ada on Friday.
Bryan 56 Van Wert 45 (girls)
The Lady Cougars couldn’t overcome a first half run by Bryan and fell to the host Golden Bears 56-45 on Tuesday night.
Bryan led 17-8 after the first quarter, then scored nine unanswered points to begin the second period. Van Wert trailed at halftime 33-20 and closed the gap to eight points in the third quarter but could draw no closer.
Caylee Phillips led the Lady Cougars with 11 points and Cassidy Meyers finished with 10.
Van Wert (6-13) will return to Western Buckeye League at home against Bath tomorrow night.
Crestview 58 Celina 40 (girls)
The Lady Knights held Celina to single digits in three of the four quarters and went on to defeat the Bulldogs 58-40 on Tuesday night.
Crestview enjoyed a 17-8 first quarter lead and a 32-14 halftime advantage. The Lady Knights won the third quarter scoring battle 15-9 and led 47-23, before Celina outscored the visitors 17-11 in the final period.
Crestview (13-6) has won seven straight and will travel to Paulding tomorrow night.
Paige Motycka paced Crestview with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Lexi Gregory chipped in with 11 points.
