Maxine V. Helstad

Maxine V. Helstad, 86, of Van Wert, died 11:21 p.m. Tuesday February 20, 2018, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born January 16, 1932, in Antwerp, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Wyman) Wallace, who both preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Rodney (Karen) Helstad Jr. of Spencerville; an adopted daughter, Vickie Rusk of Ohio City; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Two children, Dawn Elaine Weaver and Robert Keith Helstad; three brothers; and two sisters, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 26, at the funeral home.
