Steyer’s season comes to an end

COLUMBUS — Van Wert sophomore wrestler Gabe Steyer’s season came to an end Friday at the 2018 OHSAA Wrestling State Tournament.

The 132 pounder lost to defending state champion Jordan Decatur of Cuyahoga Falls CVCA in the championship quarterfinals (technical fall, 18-2), then fell Lisbon Beaver’s Skyler Lasure in round two of consolation matches (technical fall, 17-2).

Steyer finished the season 38-6.
