CONVOY — Stahl Stoller Meyer Insurance recently donated in excess of $17,000 to the Convoy Community Foundation in honor of Michael and Nancy Meyer.\u00a0The amount will be used for the\u00a0Mike and Nancy Meyer Scholarship Fund, in memory of Mike Meyer, a partner of Stahl Stoller Meyer Insurance.<\/p>\n

The generous gift from the Stahl Stoller Meyer Insurance Agency will enable the Convoy Community Foundation to present a scholarship to a Crestview graduating senior annually in honor of Mike and Nancy Meyer.\u00a0\u00a0 Mike and Nancy are the parents of three children all who graduated from\u00a0the Crestview Schools.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mike and Nancy strongly believed in assisting young graduates to further their education after high school.<\/p>\n

The Convoy Community Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization and was founded in 1979.\u00a0 The purpose of the Foundation is to undertake and promote charitable activities for the benefit of the individuals, groups and communities in the Crestview School District.\u00a0\u00a0 President Bob Schumm stated, “Endowment Fund donors may give bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts to the fund.\u00a0\u00a0 All assets received will remain in perpetuity in a trust under the supervision of a local financial institution.\u00a0\u00a0 The Foundation conducts its charitable activities using only the investment revenue generated by the principal.\u00a0\u00a0 Schumm added, “Those who donate $5,000 or more will have a plaque permanently installed on the wall in the Crestview High School.”<\/p>\n

Persons interested in making bequests or donations to the Convoy Community Memorial Endowment Fund are encouraged to contact a Foundation Trustee.\u00a0\u00a0 Those trustees are:\u00a0 Bob Schumm, president; Joe Steffan, vice president;\u00a0Denise Frey, treasurer; Shirley Laipply, secretary, Ron Schumm, Greg Kulwicki, Dr. Tom Lautzenheiser, Gary Weck, Marilyn Reed, and Diane Manz.<\/p>\n
