Van Wert High School senior Megan Braun is this week\u2019s Van Wert independent\/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week. Braun, who was nominated by Van Wert track coach Mark Collins, just set a new county and school record in the long jump (18-3) and was part of the record breaking 4×100 meter relay team. \u201cMegan has been a tremendous leader and member of our program since she arrived as a freshman,\u201d Collins said. In addition to track, Braun played volleyball for the Lady Cougars.
