{"id":102611,"date":"2018-05-14T07:51:59","date_gmt":"2018-05-14T12:51:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=102611"},"modified":"2018-05-14T07:51:59","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T12:51:59","slug":"vwhs-schedules-final-exam-dates-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2018\/05\/14\/vwhs-schedules-final-exam-dates-times\/","title":{"rendered":"VWHS schedules final exam dates, times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Van Wert High School Principal Bob Priest has listed dates and times for its final semester examinations of the 2017-18 school year.<\/p>\n<p>Exams will be held Thursday and Friday, May 17 and 18, at the school. All students are required to take examinations unless a course does not offer one, or a student has been granted permission to exempt from the exam through the Renaissance program.<\/p>\n<p>Students who fail to show up for exams will be given a zero on the examination and also fail the course, even if they have a passing percentage, since taking exams is part of fulfilling course requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Students who are absent from exams must follow all VWHS attendance policies and procedures, as adopted by the Van Wert City Board of Education. Make-up exams will occur according to school attendance policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The following is the schedule for semester exams:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 17<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First exam session (first period classes) \u2013 8-9:20 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Second exam session (second period classes) \u2013 9:30-10:50 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Open lunch \u2013 10:50-11:50 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Third exam session (third period classes) \u2013 11:50 a.m.-1:10 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Fourth exam session (fourth period classes \u2013 1:20-2:40 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Staff team time \u2013 2:40-3:10 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fifth exam session (fifth period classes) \u2013 8-9:20 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Sixth exam session (sixth period classes) \u2013 9:30-10:50 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Open lunch \u2013 10:50-11:50 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Seven exam session (seventh period classes) \u2013 11:50 a.m.-1:10 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Make-up testing\/staff grading and\/or meetings \u2013 1:20-2:40 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Staff team time \u2013 2:40-3:10 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information Van Wert High School Principal Bob Priest has listed dates and times for its final semester examinations of the 2017-18 school year.
