(photos submitted)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ten years ago, America was shaken to its core as it experienced first-hand the horror and sorrow of terrorism on its own soil. Ten years later, we pay tribute to that raw emotion, the lives of those lost, the decade of healing and celebration of American spirit with a special season opening concert at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, September 11, The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra and music conductor, Andrew Constantine come to Van Wert for a one-of-a-kind 9\/11 musical memorial and celebration. Tickets are now available for the 7 p.m. show in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Spanning the emotions of sorrow, remembrance, hope, and patriotism, this show will feature not only the exciting Fort. Wayne Philharmonic, but also a local men\u2019s chorus, vocal soloists and a special multimedia presentation featuring local active service men and women, 9\/11 national images, the effect of 9\/11 on the local community and more. It will inspire, educate and entertain all who attend.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Tickets are now on sale at the box office Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. or online 24\/7 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npacvw.org\/\">www.npacvw.org<\/a>.\u00a0Tickets are $15-$40.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10268\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10268\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10268 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/9-11-tribute-Hingson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"167\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10268\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Michael Hingson and Roselle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To continue the 9\/11 tribute, the NPAC will host speaker Michael Hingson on September 13 at 7:30 p.m. Hingson, along with his guide dog, Roselle, led a group of people down from the 78th floor of Trade Tower\u00a0One moments before its collapse. Now, as a World Trade Center survivor and guide dog user, Hingson has touched the lives of thousands of people from around the world through motivational speaking.<\/p>\n<p>On that Tuesday, September 13, Hingson will speak on \u201cTurning the Tables on Terrorism\u201d at the Niswonger.
