{"id":104307,"date":"2018-06-30T08:19:07","date_gmt":"2018-06-30T13:19:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=104307"},"modified":"2018-06-30T08:19:07","modified_gmt":"2018-06-30T13:19:07","slug":"liberty-baptist-receives-new-baptistry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2018\/06\/30\/liberty-baptist-receives-new-baptistry\/","title":{"rendered":"Liberty Baptist receives new baptistry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VW independent\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Liberty Baptist Church congregation was presented with a special surprise on Father&#8217;s Day, June 17.\u00a0The church has spent several years waiting and months of fund raising to purchase a new movable baptistery.\u00a0This dream come true came a week earlier than expected.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_104308\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-104308\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-104308\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Liberty-Baptist-gets-new-baptistry-6-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"239\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-104308\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Liberty Baptist Church Pastor Jim Burns and members of the congregation pose with the church&#8217;s new baptistry.<\/strong> <em>photo submitted<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The church&#8217;s four trustees and Pastor Jim Burns searched across the country trying to find the best quality baptistery at an affordable price.\u00a0After looking at three different companies, the church trustees voted unanimously to order a movable immersion baptistery from American Rehabilitation Ministries in Joplin, Missouri. American Rehabilitation Ministries custom builds baptisteries and communion tables for churches and prisons.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We located a baptistery made by this ministry organization in a church in Celina, Ohio, and it was exactly what we wanted,\u201d Pastor Burns said. \u201cWe are very humbled with the way the Lord provided our new baptistery, and honored that a portion of our purchase price will go towards reaching prisoners for Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fiberglass immersion baptistery is incased\u00a0in a solid oak cabinet that matches the church&#8217;s auditorium oak trim.\u00a0When the lid is placed on the baptistery it becomes a communion table.\u00a0Liberty Baptist&#8217;s new baptistery was paid for by individual donations and special church offerings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information The Liberty Baptist Church congregation was presented with a special surprise on Father&#8217;s Day, June 17.\u00a0The church has spent several years waiting and months of fund raising to purchase a new movable baptistery.\u00a0This dream come true came a week earlier than expected.
